Leigh Walters, Principal

Leigh Walters is a builder of positive reputations and relationships. Her career spans more than 15 years of crafting custom communications across a breadth of industries.  

 

She is a trusted resource in strategic communication, media relations, content marketing, spokesperson training and crisis communications.  Having been a leader in both agency and in-house PR, Leigh Walters is adept at optimizing agency partnerships to fit clients’ needs. She knows what it is like to sit on the client’s side of the table.

Most recently, Leigh served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Missouri Historical Society (MHS) in St. Louis. She led the comprehensive rebrand for MHS and its entities: the Missouri History Museum, the Library & Research Center and the Soldiers Memorial Military Museum. Leigh orchestrated the launch of a new website, the implementation of a first-ever brand awareness campaign, and the opening of Soldiers Memorial. She overhauled both the media relations and digital content strategies, resulting in exponential increases in the reach of MHS’s mission.   

 

In addition to her significant expertise in the non-profit and arts & culture arenas, Leigh has experience in the publishing, tourism, food & beverage, health & human services, and financial sectors.  

 

Leigh earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Truman State University, as well as a certificate in Publishing from the University of Denver’s Publishing Institute.
